Kelly Country Pick with Geoff Wright, John Werner and Andrew Clermont

Peter Hisco and Wendy Jackson

combine extensive instrumental skills with close soaring harmonies while swapping  and changing on an array of stringed instruments – guitar, double bass, fiddle, mandolin, banjo and ukulele. They are a versatile and dynamic musical duo who cover a wide variety of musical styles – swing and jazz to a touch of blues; bluegrass and old timey; or Hawaiian and Motown featuring uke and double bass. It all depends on where they are playing, and who they are playing with! They’re full of energy, and have a great time while they play, which usually means others do too!

They often expand their line – up to feature other instrumentalists when doing gigs and playing at festivals.

They met when they were both  based in Melbourne for many years. They have plenty of experience behind them, having individually played in numerous musical combinations. They’ve been playing music together for 10 years, travelling Australia, living in QLD and Adelaide for a time, and travelling in Canada and the U.S. attending music festivals and camps. They have put down roots in the beautiful picturesque town of Cobargo on the south coast of NSW.  They have been getting involved with their wonderful community, regularly providing P.A. for the Yuin Folk Club events and the Cobargo Folk Festival; they’ve run an open mic and music sessions at the Cobargo Hotel and are currently performing with a crew of other locals in a 5 piece line-up called ‘Hitch up the Pony’. hitchupthepony.com
