A lightning trip to Melbourne from the Tweed and a weekend of music at ‘Hicko’s’. Peter and I were reunited with Geoff Wright – muso extraordinaire from the Stringbeans. What a treat it is playing with Geoff! Fabulous instrumentalist – banjo, dobro, guitar, mandolin – and incredible harmonies just plucked out of the air, depending on whatever someone else is singing. I had a bad throat infection through the whole thing though…. not fun, that part! Time to recover now…. before heading down to Sth Gippsland this weekend to play music and party with the Strzelecki Stringbusters as they celebrate Arnie’s birthday in the legendary barn!
