The Whelans are in town

Last Saturday saw the arrival of Michael and Mary Whelan from Phillip Island, who had just driven all the way to Cooktown where they have a holiday house (in about 5 days – we thought we were crazy with the amount of driving we do!!) They are now on their way down to Redlands for the Bluegrass Festival coming up this weekend.(Which of course, we would like to be attending too, but you can’t do everything, can you?) We all went and jammed with Bob Eden for his birthday on Sunday and met a few more locals. Great to have musical friends camped with us, so we have been picking and practising and sharing music – as we do…..despite the rain that has been pouring down the last few days. We’ll look forward to catching up with them again at Beechworth!
